DMCA Policy
Last updated: April 10, 2026
1. Policy Overview
FixerCode respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds in good faith to properly submitted copyright complaints. This page explains how to send a DMCA notice or a counter-notification related to content on the Site.
The Site publishes original reference content about error codes and technical context. Brand names and trademarks are used only for identification, and FixerCode is not affiliated with or endorsed by the vendors referenced on the Site.
2. Nature of Our Content
Error codes referenced on the Site are typically short functional identifiers used to describe machine or software states. Our pages focus on independent explanations, context, and related reference information rather than reproducing vendor manuals or presenting official support materials.
All brand names, trademarks, and model identifiers remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and reference purposes.
3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a written DMCA notice that includes the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). Notices that do not substantially comply with these requirements may not be acted upon.
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL or other specific location on our Site where the material can be found.
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). The counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will promptly forward it to the original complainant. If the original complainant does not file a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity within 10 to 14 business days, we will restore the removed material.
5. Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, costs, and attorney's fees. Please ensure that your notice or counter-notification is accurate before submitting it.
FixerCode reserves the right to seek relief against knowingly false, abusive, or bad-faith DMCA notices.
